Your Infinite Flight, live on your Lock Screen
Take off on a multiplayer server and your flight appears on the iPhone Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island — route, progress, altitude, speed and arrival time — updating about once a minute, even after you close SkyYoke.
The Flight Live Activity is SkyYoke's iPhone Live Activity for Infinite Flight. It starts by itself once you are airborne on a multiplayer server with a flight plan filed to an airport, shows your route, progress, altitude, ground speed, distance to go and ETA on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island, and updates about once a minute from Infinite Flight's live service — even with SkyYoke closed. It ends when you land. Included with SkyYoke Pro.
From takeoff to touchdown, step by step
- You take offMultiplayer server, a flight plan to an airport, airborne — all three tick green.
- It appears by itselfSkyYoke's live service pushes the Live Activity to your iPhone. No button.
- Watch the climbThe aircraft glides along the route bar as altitude and speed roll up.
- In the Dynamic IslandYour flight rides at the top; touch and hold to expand it.
- Close SkyYoke — it keeps goingAbout once a minute a fresh update arrives, app closed.
- Arriving soonAbout 30 minutes out, a teal pill brings your arrival time forward.
- Landed — and it tidies up“Landed at RCTP”, then the card clears itself a few minutes later.
A Live Activity is the iPhone's way of keeping something that is happening right now in view — a delivery, a match, a ride. SkyYoke's Flight Live Activity does it for your Infinite Flight flight. Once you are airborne, a card appears on your Lock Screen and your flight rides in the Dynamic Island: where you left from, where you are going, how far along you are, and when you will get there.
It is not a screenshot of the sim. The card is drawn by iOS from live data, so it stays sharp at any size, reads in the dark, and even wears your airline's colours. And because the updates come from SkyYoke's live service rather than from the app, it keeps moving after you close SkyYoke.
It starts by itself
- On a multiplayer serverCasual, Training or Expert — the flights Infinite Flight's live service can see.
- A flight plan to an airportThe destination is what progress, distance and ETA are measured against.
- AirborneWheels up is the trigger. The LIVE tag lights up.
- Pushed to your iPhoneThe card lands on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island.
There is nothing to press. SkyYoke's live service watches for three things — you are on an Infinite Flight multiplayer server, you have a flight plan filed to an airport, and you are airborne — and when all three are true it pushes the Live Activity straight to your iPhone. Takeoff is the moment it appears.
| Requirement | Details |
|---|---|
| iPhone | iOS 17.2 or later. The Dynamic Island view needs an iPhone that has one; every iPhone gets the Lock Screen card. |

| Multiplayer server | Flying on an Infinite Flight multiplayer server — Casual, Training or Expert. |

What the card shows
- Header — your callsign, aircraft and Infinite Flight username, plus a phase chip: Boarding, Climb, Cruise, Descent, Approach, Landed.
- Route — departure and arrival airports with a progress bar between them and your aircraft gliding along it, plus altitude and ground speed.
- Footer — distance to go, your arrival time and when it last updated; about 30 minutes out it becomes an Arriving soon pill.
It keeps itself up to date
About once a minute SkyYoke's live service reads your flight from Infinite Flight's live data and sends the new numbers to your iPhone; the bar and the numbers glide to the new position. It carries on with SkyYoke closed and your phone locked. When you land it shows Landed, and the finished card clears itself a few minutes later — or as soon as you open SkyYoke.
Switch it on or off
- A quick tapOpens the built-in, animated guide to the Live Activity.
- Press and hold ½ secondA ring fills while you hold — the switch turns OFF.
- Hold again to turn it onSame half-second hold. It's on by default with Pro.
The Live Activity is on by default with SkyYoke Pro. On the flight menu, a small Live Activity capsule shows whether it is on. A quick tap opens the in-app guide; a half-second press and hold turns it on or off, so it never flips by accident. You can also switch it in your Account.

Frequently asked questions
How the Flight Live Activity starts, what it shows and when it ends.
What is the SkyYoke Flight Live Activity?+
It is an iPhone Live Activity that shows your Infinite Flight flight on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island: departure and arrival airports, a progress bar with your aircraft on it, altitude, ground speed, distance to go and your arrival time. It updates about once a minute from Infinite Flight's live service, even after you close SkyYoke.
Do I have to start it myself?+
No. It starts on its own once you are airborne on an Infinite Flight multiplayer server — Casual, Training or Expert — with a flight plan filed to an airport. SkyYoke's live service then sends the Live Activity to your iPhone.
Does it keep updating after I close SkyYoke?+
Yes. The updates come from SkyYoke's live service, which reads Infinite Flight's live flight data about once a minute and pushes each update to your iPhone, so the card keeps moving with the app closed. It ends when you land, and the finished card clears itself a few minutes later, or when you open SkyYoke.
What do I need to use it?+
An iPhone on iOS 17.2 or later, a SkyYoke account with SkyYoke Pro, and a flight on an Infinite Flight multiplayer server with a flight plan filed to an airport. It is on by default with Pro, and you can switch it off from the flight menu or your Account.
Why doesn't my flight appear?+
Infinite Flight doesn't publish every flight to its live service — on the Casual Server in some regions, for example — and those flights can't be shown. Solo (offline) flights aren't on a server at all, and a flight with no plan filed to an airport has no destination to track.
How do I turn the Live Activity off?+
On the flight menu, press and hold the Live Activity switch for half a second — a quick tap only opens the guide. You can also switch it in your Account. It is on by default with SkyYoke Pro.
